Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync your account data and contacts with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on Android OS.
- Launch the Internet browser on the PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- After the vCard is exported follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the vCard to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
