How-to: Nokia X5: Block Calls and Messages, Manage Call Forwarding

Block Calls from a Contact/Number:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Access “Settings”
4. Go to “Call blocking” and enter the phone number you want to block or select an existing contact from the phonebook
5. Tap “Block” to confirm

Unblock Calls from a Contact/Number:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call blocking”
4. Tap the “X” icon next to the phone number you want to unblock
5. Tap “Unblock”

Block Messages via Google Messages:

1. Open Google Messages
2. Tap the contact/phone number whose messages you want to block
3. Tap “Menu” > “People & Options”
4. Tap “Block [phone number]”
5. Press “OK”

NOTE: Messages from the blocked contact will be archived and notification alerts will be disabled for archive items.

Unblock Messages:

1. Open Google Messages
2. Tap “Menu” > “Archived”
3. Tap the phone number/contact whose messages you want to unblock
4. Tap “Menu” > “People & Options”
5. Tap “Unblock [phone number]”

Reset the Call Log:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Access the “History” tab
3. For more details on a call log entry, tap it
4. To clear the call log, tap “Menu” > “Clear call history”
5. Tap “OK”

Enable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Call settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select “Always forward”
5. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding or select a contact
6. Tap “Turn On”

Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Access “Call settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select to forward incoming calls “When unanswered” “When unreachable” or “When busy”
5. Edit or enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding or select a contact
6. Tap “Update” / “Turn On”

Disable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call settings”
4. Tap “Call forwarding”
5. Select the forwarding option you want to disable
6. Tap “Turn Off”
