Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. From the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Launch “Settings
  4. Go to “Display” > “Advanced
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Open “Settings
  3. Access “Battery” > “Battery optimization
  4. Select an app to optimize
  5. Optionally, you can tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe up on the home screen from the bottom
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (location)” quick toggles to turn the features OFF
  3. Tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggles and set the switch OFF
  4. For more options, open “Settings” and go to “Network & Internet
  5. To disable Wi-Fi Hotspot, access “Hotspot & Tethering” > “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and set the switch OFF

Remove Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. To uninstall third-party apps:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications
  3. Switch to “See all apps” if needed
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall
  5. Tap “OK

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Scroll to and tap “System” > “System update
  3. Tap “Check for update
  4. Follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
