installing games in nokia game menu

hi,

anyone know how to install games into the nokia game menu rather than in the application menu, i think you have to insert an extra command into the .jad file but not sure what it is.

Just use the software MobiMB to get anything on your phone.

It works with drag and drop so it's no problem puttin' the .jar and .jad into the Games folder!

you need to download "nokia game installer" which goes in the same folder as nokie pc suite...it installs the game under games and not under applications

an easier way, especially if you've got no cable and use wap


step1. get WinRAR, or WinACE.. whichever you prefer

step2. open the .JAR file (no, don't extract it. just open)

step3. go to the META-INF folder

step4. extract MANIFEST.MF

step5. open it in notepad

step6. drop the line Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Game

step7. drop it ANYWHERE

step8. save it. replace the MANIFEST.MF file in the .JAR file with the one you just modified.

step9. open the .JAD file in notepad

step10. throw the Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Game

step11. i said THROW IT ANYWHERE.

step12. right click and check the EXACT FILE SIZE of the new .JAR file that you've recompiled.

step13. replace the line in the .JAD file that has the file size to the new modified one.
step14. save everything

step15. upload it on wap

step16. download it to your phone via wap

step17. watch your new game go into the games folder of your nokia.

This may sound lame, but how do you download games from your own wap site, especially with a s40 phone?

the same way as with any other wap site? unless you didnt set it up right!
