I have been an Optus customer for over 7 years and am currently on a plan which expires in June. I just recently applied for wireless broadband and was declined due to a bad credit rating (not entirely my fault) which has just been placed on me. I am needing to update my phone and was planning to do it when my current plan expired.
Does anyone know that if when you renew your plan they go through the credit checks again or do they just continue the current plan. Should I just stay quiet and let the plan continue and maybe buy a phone outright so I dont have to go through any possible credit history.
Hoping someone can help an extremely mortified and embarressed phone user!
