Orange Spain - LG G2 still 4.2.2

Sorry if there are threads on this - did search but found little. My question: I have an LG G2 on contract with Orange. The software is still 4.2.2 whereas i thought we would all have 4.4 Kitkat by now. Have done a check on the phone for Software updates. It did do an update but before and after both said 4.2.2.

Should I have kitkat by now?

This is up to Orange to release an update. The alternative is to root the phone and install a 4.4 rom.
