Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone and go to “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu and sign in with your Google account
  6. Click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. After the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the contact you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the vCard is created, send it to your own email address as an attachment
  4. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  5. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the Android phone via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts” and select the desired transfer method on one of the devices
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
