Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- On the computer, open iTunes and click the iPhone
- Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” when ready to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone, and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Access “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once done, perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third-party apps to share your iPhone contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install the app on the iPhone
- Launch the app and use it to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Then, compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the email to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files without requiring computer access.
- Install the app on the iPhone and Android device from the App Store and Play Store, respectively
- Launch the app on both devices
- Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone and select the desired contacts
- Tap “Send” and select a transfer method on one of the devices
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
