Looks like Audiovox, or whoever they sold that division to. My
    step-mom has the VZW VX6700
    (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2200)
which looks like a variant of the same model.

Actually, it's a company called HTC that makes them for both Audiovox,
Cingular, O2 and lots of other vendors.

The 8125 is a version of the HTC Wizard. HTC (High Tech Computer) makes
a LARGE number of the PDA phones and Smartphones for the various vendors
(the Cingular 2125 for example is really the HTC Tornado--most of the HP
Ipaq's are HTC's). Within the Wizard line there are three hardware
models--the Wizard 110 with camera (Cingular 8125), the Wizard 100
without camera (Cingular 8100), and the Wizard 200 with camera (I-Mate
    K-Jam, T-Mobile MDA, Qtek 9100, O2 XDA Mini Pro). The 200 models
actually appeared first and have a different keyboard (more rounded
keys) but internally they're all still the Wizard although each carrier
can customize the rom. If you do a Google search for "cingular 8125" or
"htc wizard" or "k-jam" you'll get hundreds of hits and some good
reviews. Here's a good place to start:
    http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/rev...izard-en.shtml

There is a model WITHOUT the keyboard (making it a lot thinner)--the HTC
Prophet/I-Mate JAMin. Not carried by Cingular but available online
unlocked and able to run on Cingular just fine. It's the upgrade of the
HTC Magician/I-Mate JAM (adding wifi, a much better camera, and Windows
Mobile 5) which is probably the most-sold PDA/Phone to date.

In other words, the Cingular 8125 is a very very good pda/phone with a
lot of very good predecessors and is the best pda/phone you can get if
you want a Cingular branded one.
