Hi, just bought a z600 and its really good. Took a big leap of faith and
went for it as I have nearly always had a nokia. Anyway I have downloaded
some files off the net like theme files and gif files and I have an infrared
usb, Is there anyway to put these on the phone.

    Thanks in advance.

    A new ericsson fan.

Errm. . . . by infrared? : ) Activate IR on phone then right click on
file and select Send To infrared recipient. Phone will automatically put
    them in the right place

Yep and edit jpgs to 128x128 for free wallpaper, use animated web gifs as
screensavers and search for free midi ringtones and one day you could be as
    tightfisted as me : )

Hi ive just purchased a Z600 as well and thought i would ask a newbie
question. I dont have infrared usb as per the above poster....so would i
need a special plug that connects my Z600 to my USB ports to transfer files
made using the software provided on the CD(Sony PC Suite). How much more
price wise to enable infrared transfer from my PC?. Cheers and thanks for
    any advice given. :-)

    Ardz (Newbie extraordinaire) :-)

Not much more expensive or perhaps even cheaper, but definitely more
versatile and convenient, would be a USB Bluetooth module. They cost
around 40 Euros in Germany; should not be much more in US$ (as such
things are usually more expensive here).

Bluetooth dongle for PC is £21, here in the UK. Works like a dream on
my Z600. Took a while to set up but once it's done it was worth it.
