    Hi,

Just received my T610, as a replacement for Nokia 6100

Phone is SO much better - loads more features. Nice interface & superb
quality of ringtones. 'Old phone' is def the best!!! Makes the 4 voice 6100
    sound pretty bad

Couple of times, I have noticed a digital clock on the display but this
disappears when I press a key, plus screen is totally black when not in use
(but turned on!!!) Is there a way to have the clock permanently on the
display as a screensaver (as with Nokias)?

Plus - what is a good source of ringtones (free, that is)

    Well pleased with SE!!!

    Cheers

When the screen is black in standby mode, try pressing a volume button
(on the side of the phone) instead of any buttons on the face. The
    clock will light back up.

Also, if you're under a stronger light, you'll note that the screen
isn't actually black. The clock is still there.

(At least the above is true with my T616, which is pretty close to your
    T610.)

Glad you like it : ), You can get some free ringtones is here:
http://www.mobile9.com/invboard/index.php?showtopic=373 but you may need to
request some though, as the contents are mainly based on requests.

Also check out: http://www.mobile9.com/4images/ for other cool stuff for
    your new phone as well.

Hope this helps, and is this kind of spam? Sorry if it is.

Re: T610 - clock as screensaver?

you can leave a dimmer standby light on all the time... but this drains the
battery a little... dunno how much. find it in options.

and as written earlier, pressing a volume button when the screen lights are
off will light them up on the clock.

no way of quickly getting back to the clock if you accidentally press any
    other key though

The call length is displayed automatically in place of the date (bottom
right-hand corner of screen) once the call has ended. It has a red phone
symbol next to the summary and lasts on the screen for a few seconds before
    returning to the date.

I'm glad you like the phone by the way! :-)

Be sure to check out myt610.net as mentioned by someone else. It's the best
website for everything to do with the T610!

if the time is real important, set the date back to when u called and it
    should show you.

A good program to backup phone numbers etc is PhoneBackup from
    http://www.christersson.org/index.ph...e_phonebackup. It was
designed for the T68(i) mainly but it works with the T610 with the exception
of Data Accounts and WAP Profiles (you'll see what I mean once you download
    it).

As for items on the phone such as pictures and sounds, just send them via
infrared or Bluetooth straight to the computer - no software required!
