Hello everybody,
I was wondering if it's possible to use the infrared capabilities of the
T630 as a TV remote control to change the channels or to adjust the volume.

No, the output levels of most mobile phones is not powerful enough.
Unless you sit about a foot away from you tv of course. ;-)

I wouldn't be surprised if BT replaces IR in many domestic appliances in the
next 2yrs, if the cost can be forced down further.
