I am trying to sync up Outlook with my Sony phone using Bluetooth. The
sync work. However, at the end of the sync (ie. when all record has
been updated), XTNDConnect PC will report problem on rstrandb.dll
(offset 0000342b). At this point, the sync seems not going, and I
cannot turn off bluetooth on the phone. The only way to recover is to
turn off the phone and on again. I am wondering if this is something
wrong with the software? or with the phone? My phone is T637 and the
XTDC version is 4.9. Anyone experienced the same, or know what's going
on?

I have this (or something like it anyway) sometimes. I find clearing all
tasks on the phone & on Outlook clears it. You can then reinput the tasks
and everything works for a few weeks (months) again.

Re: XTNDConnect PC crash after sync
Yes, that's what I find too. If I uncheck and do not sync up the task,
it works! Have search thru the net, seems like many experienced the
same, but there is no fix.
My version is 4.9. According to Extended System, the latest version is
5.3, and they no longer support 4.9, nor have any update available for
it. I've tried the Sony site and downloaded the communication suite
1.1.1, which is still using 4.9. My "first-hand" phone is one month
old, but this enclosed software is already 4 versions behind and out
of support (I was very disappointed with Extended System's statement
of not supporting this version which is still distributing in the
market by Sony)!
Firstly, I am wondering if 5.3 fix this problem? If so, secondly, I am
wondering where can I download this new version (as I only have this
phone and software for 1 month)? If not, any other way that I can sync
up the task?

Pretend your phone is a SE 750i. Go to the Sonyericsson support site,
visit the support area for the SE 750i. You will find a download for PC
Suite 1.7.7. Should be fully compatible with your phone and should
hopefully resolve some issues you're seeing.

Re: XTNDConnect PC crash after sync
My Phone is T637, and when I go to Sony's support site, The latest
suite I can download is still 1.1.1. Wondering if we are talking about
the same site, as the version different shouldn't be that large unless
different phone use different version scheme. Can you post the url you
go to? Thanks.

Re: XTNDConnect PC crash after sync
??? Sorry, but that version is still 1.1.1, which is not the latest
version as listed by someone else here, that's why I asked.
