    Hi there,

Having just purchased a new Sony Ericsson K750i I now have a need to
transfer all of my Nokia 6310i phonebook entries to it.

As I store all the info in the phones internal memory (not the SIM) so as to
be able to access the voice features etc. what is the best way to transfer
all of the details across from the 6310i to the K750i?

I am hoping to retain the same phonebook structure, i.e.. one name with
their various numbers listed against this one name in the phones internal
    memory.

I seem to recall if I transfer from phone memory to SIM I get multiple name
entries for each number stored against that name.

    Apologies for the cross-posting!

If you can borrow another sim you could bluetooth them across but
personally I would try synch'ing with outlook or better still mobiledit.

Re: Nokia 6310i -> SE K750i phonebook transfer?

    Hello again Pete,

I have another SIM or two here but on the 6310i I can only see an option to
send business card from one entry at a time...painful :-(

Even if I done that would this go to the K750i internal memory in the
    correct format?

I guess I could try with one entry as a test...

I dare not use LookOut as my contacts are many and I would not want to upset
    anything there...

    I will give MOBILedit! a look-see...thanks for the heads-up!

    Thanks & regards,
    -=pp=-

Yes it would be in the correct format - no problem there.

As you say the 6310i only has the option to transfer one at a time (as for
that matter does every other Nokia phone I've seen - even the more recent
    ones).

Re: Nokia 6310i -> SE K750i phonebook transfer?

    Here's what I did:

Nokia: Transfer from phone to SIM selecting 'Move original' (You'll only fit
    99 entries)
This will remove them out of your Nokia phone memory.
    Move SIM to SE
SE: Transfer from SIM to phone selecting 'Move original' (or whatever it is
    on the SE)
This will get them off the SIM and in to your SE

Put the now clear SIM back in to the Nokia and repeat until you have an
    empty Nokia.

Of course this is only good for MOVING not SYNCHING
