Chatboard compatibility

Does anyone know if the Ericsson 4V Chatboard is compatible with T39m
and T68i series. I understand it is an older model that's stated to be
compatible with the 8xx and T1x series phones. But has the interface
changed? Thanks.

yes you need the 10 version not the 01 I just got one on Ebay, theres
someone selling them there for £5

That's CHA-01. No, it's not.

Yes. They don't have the same connectors.

This is definitifely WRONG! The older Chatboard for the 8xx and T1x
series ahs a different connector and is made for a different voltage.

So no interchangeability here. But there is a chatboard for the T2x,
T3x, T6x and all the newer hadsets available.

Reading the older posts it's the CHA-10.

well the serial number on the back of mine is KRY901/51/01R1 and was
bought in 1999/2000 (when the r320 came out) and has worked with all
my ericssons. im not disbuting what you are saying. But im happy with
the fact mine works and thats that

the R320 is not a 4V-mobile. It's already the newer connector. So your
Chatboard is a CHA-10 while the 4V-Model is the CHA-01.

at the end of the day as i said i dont care, i bought the chat board
on the day of release and its worked with all my phones since. so im
happy thanks!!

is that the chat feature on the phone or somethin u need to dl to it??

A chatboard is a small qwerty keyboard that clips on to the bottom of
Ericsson handsets, look here

Although now discontinued, they can still be found on e-bay.

Hey Sash, lets get a couple things straight all sony ericssons that i
know of in the past7 years have the same connectors on the bottom
(copyright patent to ericsson) from phoning around a few phone shops
yesterday i was told the same thing that there was only one type of
chat board, I too would like to see this other version of chat board
as we both seem to be on crossed wires here.

Dont come on starting on people until you know the facts. One day you
might want help!!
