Hi - I have 2 x SE T610's on (the same) Orange Contract...
They were both working fine, but now one of them comes up with
"SMS Barred -saved to unsent" when trying to send sms.
I have compared all the settings on both phones - they are identical.
Orange Customer-Services sent out a sim update, and checked the service
centre number etc
Orange then passed the problem to their Technical Support, who sent out
another sim update,
But after over a week, this phone still can't send SMS.
Orange Customer-Services indicated that this is a known problem -
Has anyone else encountered this, or had a successful fix ?

I think this is todo with the phone trying to send the SMS as a GPRS
message rather than SMS - groups.google may have information, or email
me privatly and I'll find the setting on my T610.

Re: T610 - SMS barred ?
Hi Gavin...
Went into Connectivity -> Data Comm -> SMS access
Changed it from GPRS to GSM and it now works !
But, why then should sms'ing on my other phone (still) work ok using GPRS ?

Re: T610 - SMS barred ?
Hmmm....
I've now got sms working on the phone that didn't have it
working....(thanks)
So, I tried setting my other T610 (on which sms was working via GPRS), to
"GSM", and now that phone cannot WAP !
(so I've reverted that phone back to GPRS, and it's once again working (sms
& wap), on GPRS)).
So... why do two identical phones (same firmware, operator, contract etc),
in the same house, behave differently ?
- mine works (sms & wap), via GPRS, hers (only) works with GSM...
Both originally had sms set to GPRS, and both could sms & wap for a few
weeks...
- any ideas?

Are both phones set to the same message center?
