Greetings, a P800 newbie here. Maybe it's me overlooking the obvious here,
but when I connect my P800 to my PC, it all goes well, transferring photos,
midi, etc. I created some .ogg files from some CD tracks, which play fine on
the PC but when I try to copy them to the phone, an alert pops up to say
"this type of file connot be copied to the phone folder".
Any suggestions how I can copy them over, I have the OGG player already
installed. Thanks in advance, TONYA

Tonya,
Where did you get the ogg player for your P800 from?
Thanks,
Richard.

I use a card reader for this. You can get a 6-in-1 reader (CF, MD, SD, MMC,
SM & memory stick) for around £30. I think the error message is something to
do with the Magic Gate security on the MS Duo (not 100% sure). The card
reader does not seem to be affected by this.

Re: P800 + OGG
Tonya,
Thanks for the file.
I also did a search and found it at
http://www.geocities.com/p800tools/index_old.html. Version 0.96 is now
available, which I downloaded and installed.
I used CD'n'Go (freeware) to compress music files from my CDs into
OggVorbis format and copied them into the 'document' folder on the P800.
It explains this on the OggPlay website. Because .ogg files aren't
recognised music files you can't copy them to the audio folder. Tap on
OggPlay!->Find new files and the player will find them.
Hope this helps.
Richard.
