T610-Bluetooth Outlook sync problem using XTNDConnect

Hi,

I want to start using my new Smartlink BUB-103 BT dongle for Outlook sync.
towards my T610.
I installed the included Widcomm 1.3.2.7 driver and it seems to work fine
for file transfer, but I can't sync. with Outlook using XTNDConnect!

I selected COM10 in the Bluetooth setup and enabled COM10 in the SE Phone
Monitor, but it cannot connect to the phone. I also tried a reboot of my
Win2000 PC without success.

I heard that many people have had similar problems. What is the solution?
Reinstall XTNDConnect?

OK, I'm using a Belkin dongle which uses the generic Widcomm s/w &
drivers but under XP with OutlookXP. All the SE T910 s/w needs SE's
Phone Monitor to run. It took me a week or 2 of messing with settings to
get XTNDC & all my SE s/w to work flawlessly.

1. Try sync'ing with any FW switched off to see if that solves the
problem & if it does, setup rules in the FW.
2. Make sure Phone Monitor's com port is set to the client port
number & not the BT serial port. (I didn't get reliable operation until
I reserved that client port).
3. Try opening the phone's serial port 1st from My Bluetooth Places &
if you pair more than one phone, you may need to open the newly
connected phone's serial port before any SE s/w will recognise it again.
4. Still no luck - one person reported running SendFile from:
http://www.christersson.org/software.php
enabled sync'ing - it doesn't need to be doing anything but running in
the background & could be added to the Startup folder to start minimised
when logging in.

Thanks a lot! It works now after setting the COM port in Phone Monitor to
match the COM for the client application and not the local service!

Glad you're sorted - easy mistake that one! Once I'd set the correct com
port, I found the SE s/w would only work sometimes - drove me mad for a
week then I reserved the port & the problem was solved.

Just a quick post to say thanks - think I'd have been struggling for far
longer if I hadn't seen that you'd been having the same problems too!

Using a Belkin USB/Bluetooth Adaptor, after installing and being recognised
(and being able to browse files on the phone) through My Bluetooth Places,
the software that came with the phone from SE stubbornly refused to
recognise the phone was there. Had to download the Phone Monitor app, and
then set the COM ports appropriately as you've discussed (i.e. not to the
Bluetooth Serial Port), and enable the COM port on the device through My
Bluetooth places.

Don't know how I'd have done it without your posts, and finding a link to
Phone Monitor on a third-party website
(http://www.clubsonyericsson.com/en/t...ls_connect.htm).

So now it's sync-ed and that's all happy, all I need to do is to get the
laptop to use the Bluetooth Modem and the T610 to dialup. Problematic at the
moment as SE Dial-up Wizard claims it can't find drivers for the Bluetooth
Modem (which is stuck on COM7 and appears to be OK, though won't communicate
with the phone). Hopefully I'll find someone else posting about how to do
this because the Orange manual supplied with the phone is useless on any
technical topic! Any tips hints or links would be much appreciated.
