I have just bought a Sony Ericsson T610, and in just 2 days i have drained
the battery completely.
Has Bluetooth anything to do with this ?!? I have it turned on 24/7..
Or is it because the battery is only up to full power after you have
recharged it at least 3-5 times ?!? (I know some battery's have this "bug"
or whatever you might call it, but is this so on the T610 battery too) ?!?
Or is it just me, using my to much !??!?! (I got it 2 days ago, and i just
can't keep my fingers away from it ... Just found out i could use it as a
remote control to my pc >

I find my T610's battery life is much less than my T68i's which is
unfortunate and you just have to put up with it until a new phone with more
MAH batter is released.

Yes BT will drain the battery, the more you play with it the less the
battery will last.

But playing with your phone is much more battery sucking than turning
bluetooth on. On the T39 for example BT was a huge energy eater, on the T68
BT was much more optimised in terms of attery usage. The T610 s even better
I suppose. Using the big 65k color screen on the other hand IS a big deal
with the T610.
2 days isn't bad after an initial charge knowing that u used it a lot.

How exactly can you use the T610 to control your PC?

Re: Does bluetooth drain the power of the battery when turned on 24/7 (T610)
I use a little program named BTcontrol, that uses Bluetooth... This program
has some features in opening powerpoint, Acrobat, and some other programs,
remotely from your T610/T68i on your computer (More programs can be
added)... But the cool feature of this program is, that when you enter a
menu (on the phone, that is enabled by BTcontrol), called "Mouse Button",
you can, with the joystick on the mobile, control the mouse on the computer,
and use some of the buttons on your mobile as LeftClick, RightClick, ESC,
ect. ect.
The program (and more info), can be found on http://www.meer-net.com ...
The program is free, and the version i'm running is "3.5.1 Beta"...
There might be some problems with connecting to the phone, but try setting a
com-port in the settings in the BTcontrol-settings... (I'm using COM-6)
REALLY sweet little prog
Luca.

i use a program called floaTs mobile agent, download it from here,
http://fma.xinium.com/ It is not just a remote controller for the PC, but
also a complete phone management application. You can upload sms', send sms'
View photo's taken by your T610 etc etc To go on would need a lot of space.
It is free to d/load and is constantly updated. Well recommended.

I agree with this poast. BT drains far less out of my T610 than with my
T39. I do like the 3 min timeout discovery mode with the T39 though. The
T39 does have another advantage - the ability to use bigger batteries
which puts my T610's 3 days between charges to shame. The fading display
on my T39 perhaps compensates for a fading battery!
