I know this may be a dumb question but is there greater capabilities using a
Bluetooth over a cable apart from no cable attached?
    Thanks

Bluetooth is a wireless radio protocol and does not function through a cable
    by definition

You can also use several things without having to swap cables
and use new things without needing a new cable or some sort
    of adapter.

Also, sneaking a contact card onto someone else's phone
would be far more obvious if they saw you hooking up a cable.

when he says 'over a cable' he doesn't mean *through* a cable, he means
    *compared* to a cable connection...
