Is there any way to set up the phone to lock the keypad after a pre-defined
time of inactivity to prevent unauthorised use?

So if the phone is lost it cannot be used without a security code number
    (set by me)?

Checked the instuction manual but it is cack!

    Thanks.

u set up ur codes first of all then u can choose which parts u want to lock
i.e messages, contacts, web access etc
u have loads to go at
the only way to lock out ur phone is to switch it off totally then it asks
for the sim code then the unlock code

i personally have no probs with this phone i prefer to piss about with the
phone to suss it out myself - use instructions only when stuck
i have not managed to connect to mpt 2.20 via bt yet but i can send and
receive using the inbox feature on my bt software

    good luck
