I have downloaded v1.23 and v2.16 from www.motclub.com as advised (thank you
BruceR), but when I try to install v1.23 I get an Unhandled Exception, as
follows:
Description: DLL function call crashed: PbkInstall._GetBookNames
Setup will now terminate
I am running Windows XP Professional and have Outlook 2003 (suspicious that
this is where the problem is).
Any help appreciated.

Okay, seems I have the first stage cracked. A search in the groups shows
that there is a problem of sorts between the tools and Outlook 2003.
To get round it, install v1.23 upto the point where you get the error (don't
close the error). Switch to Task Manager, select "setup.exe" and End the
Task. Now install v2.16, which shouldn't complain about the previous version
stuff as it does before.
Onto the next problem ... the list of phones doesn't include the v525 ?
(I've tried the v500 on the assumption that it means it's the v5 series) ...
set my phone to "Find Me" and attempt the discovery with the installation
only to be told that "No Devices Discovered".
I know that the phone can be discovered because I have had the software that
came with the Bluetooth dongle detect and connect to my phone. I've tried
the above with the phone paired and with it unpaired, but it doesn't seem to
make any difference?
Again, any advice...

Re: Help Installing Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, please
Success!
It's working okay now.
Unpair the mobile from the Bluetooth.
Delete connection history from the phone
Reboot the phone
Start the installation again
It works just fine.
