I use my V220 in some areas where the reception is marginal, and see a
number of advertisements for the little "internal antenna booster",
priced all the way from $.50 to $10.00. Doesn't look like much but the
"testimonials" in the ads give them high marks. I'd like to hear from
some "real people" who have actually tried them. Are they any good??

If you get it 100% off, you'll get what you paid for and not a penny
more.

Tried one a couple of years ago, made no difference.
As previous poster don't waste your money.

Re: Re: Internal antenna boosters
Well, last time I ordered a bunch of stuff, they had them for 50
cents. I figured What the Hell and ordered two.
We live in the STICKS. I mean 25 miles to the nearest Hardies. These
things MAY have gotten another 1/2 bar. It's hard to tell. But if you
live in an area like mine, 1/2 bar can make a difference. At least
they didn't reduce the signal.

Re: Internal antenna boosters
That's what I am interested in. I'm also way out in the sticks much of
the time and must agree - half a bar is better than no bar at all.
I saw the $.50 deal but postage will take it to nearly $7, so may just
wait till I find them on some 7-11 shelf, where I've seen them before
for $5!! (Nothing like a cheap-skate to keep the business world going)
Thanks for the response--

Re: Internal antenna boosters
I have at least one of these laying around that I got free with another
purchase. I'll mail it to you if you want it - no charge. Send me your
snailmail address offline at the address shown minus the obvious.
