V635 default simlock pin??

Attempting to set up my new V635 to demand a pincode upon startup, I
foolishly believed the (poorly translated) manual and entered 1234
which failed.

I've only two chances left.............can anyone tell me what it's
likely to be?

0000 is usually the default. I could be wrong though... Do you feel lucky?

I assume you are talking about the SIM pincode. That is not a property
of your phone but one of your SIM card. It should have come with the SIM
card when you received it from the operator.

Sometimes it comes in a special security envelope that needs to be cut
open, or it is hidden behind paint that has to be scratched off the
paper before you can read it.

You usually also get a second code called "PUK" that is to be used in
case the SIM card is blocked after the wrong pincode was entered three
times.

Depends on the carrier. The PIN code routine is in the SIM, not the phone
.... and every cellular carrier has a different default.

Thanks for the pointers..................the carrier is o2 UK and their
website said the default pin is 5555 - which worked!
