i have tmobile in los angeles. everytime someone leaves a voicemail, i get
a text message that a voicemail has been left for me. how do i stop that.
i checked the phone setup and also the tmobile voicemail setup and cannot
find it. is it there? thanks

Here in the UK, when you call your voice mail to retrieve the message you
can enter the voicemail menu options.
In those options (and it varies from provider to rpovider) you can select
the method of notification.
There is not a setting on the phone which will sort this out, it is
controlled by your provider.
Personally I like getting a text message to tell me a message is waiting.
The alternative is for the phone to ring, and that's a pain, as you rush to
answer it only to find it is a voicemail message.
