720 firmware flashed upgraded to 730

Hi,
I went to my VZW tech desk the other day, told them all about what I've
been reading in here. My T-720 had the first ever version! They
flashed it to the latest 720 ware, and I convinced them to load the 730
version. Guess what? WORKS GREAT!!! First test with the 1100MAH
extended battery yielded 40 continuous hours of stand by, PLUS one hour
5 mins of talk, PLUS 6.58 mins of data. How does this compare to your
experience with Verizon T-720/730 phones?

hmm.. mine has the 1100mA battery and the 5P software, and I get well over 2
hrs talk and used it for almost 2 hrs strait on 1x data. I do not know
about the stand by time though, but on days I do not use the phone too much
I charge it about every 2 days.

Mine seems to work ok,too. One thing I have noticed is that it takes a
longer time to connect to the net or connect to Get It Now. Most of the time
I have to press "Retry" two or three time to connect. Anyone else having
this problem?

Geoff,

I have been meaning to ask if the changes in the call timer has made any
difference in how you are billed for data calls. With some of the concerns
expressed over VZW being unhappy with those of us using EN on an AC plan, I
have been a bit nervous about getting the update. Thanks!

how I'm billed no, how I can account for them yes, now if I can actualy keep
track of my use a little bit better, and that is about it..

well, when I had the EN MOU stuff added to my phone I called my friend that
works in the Dublin, OH facility, and asked him exactly what the 1xpp1
feature code did, and made sure there would not be any issues before I
started using the EN service. Sometimes I use the EN kind of heavy on my
night and weekend minutes, and other months I have not used it too much at
all. Personally, I do not see how them letting us use EN instead of QNC
really costs them anything extra, sure it uses more spectrum when it is
available, but in more congested area they can pretty much force you down to
the ammout of channels that QNC takes..

in stand by and I think about 6 hours talk time. No games tho
