Updates to San Francisco, Southern California, and New York City Cellular Carrier Evaluation Sites

I've updated my three Cellular Carrier Evaluation web sites. The biggest
update was in the carrier ratings, and was prompted by the deterioration of
AT&T TDMA service in all three areas.

I also included a short report and a long analysis of the February 2004
Consumer Reports article on Cell Phone Service (but you'll have to buy the
magazine, or go to the library, to see the details.

These sites are objective, non-commercial sites that are designed to help
consumers choose a carrier.

I had not been to the above site in a while; interesting info, and
below is quoted the opinion of sprint:

"7. Sprint is in a hopeless situation. Their best hope is to be
acquired by someone or to exit the wireless business and sell their
spectrum"

I haven't been in Manhattan in a year or so, but while last there I
found my sprint phone to appeared to work normally; guess that shows
what I know.

This is going a bit too far I would say. They had a pretty good
quarter to end 2003 and added 1 million total customers while keeping
churn rate lower than the same time a year ago. I don't see how this
translates into a statement like that. This is more of an opinion than
a fact.

I assume that the OP's comments applied to the NYC area only.
I know that SprintPCS is doing quite well in the SF Bay area, and their
recent nationwide overall performance hasn't been all that shabby.
