I recently purchased a Wilson 50db BDA, Yagi outside antenna and Dome
inside antenna. When first installed, I experienced problems. Despite
good numbers inside (-80 to -85/3-4 bars), I was frequently unable to
make either DC or Cell calls, getting "Try Again 304" for DC calls, and
"redialing" for cell calls.. If the call did go through, the person I
was talking to frequently said they could not understand me; I on the
other hand, usually understood them fine. Both my local dealer and
Wilson tech support reccomended increasing the distance between the Yagi
and the inside antenna and increasing the elevation of the Yagi.

I completed this yesterday. Now I have approx. 38 feet between the Yagi
and inside antenna, and about 23 feet between them vertically. There is
no further room in the house to further increase separation. The problem
is no better whatsoever. This occurs with all of our NEXTEL phones: my
personal i730T, wife's i730A and my work i35, all of which work
properly, even in areas with worse numbers than we now have inside the
    house.

My local dealer and Wilson tech support now think I may have a bad BDA.
Is there anything else I can try prior to returning the one I have and
awaiting a replacement? I am so far VERY disappointed in my experience
    with this equipment.

    Thanks!

    Re: Problems with Wilson BDA

Is it possible that your BDA is too powerful for your application?

How does this unit get it's power? Make sure it is getting a steady
    power stream, not fluctuating.

Does the coax for the antenna run next to any power wires or
flourscent transformers? This could be causing interference with the
    unit.

Other than basic stuff (making sure your Yagi is aimed at the nearest
tower, defective antennas, bad coax), I dont know what else to add.

This coming from someone who does not have one of these, YET..
