Stupid Question about unlocking

You need to unlock a phone if your going from boost to nextel, not nextel to boost correct..... Now if I wanted to put a nextel sim into and boost phone it should work??

if you want to put a Nextel sim into a Boost phone, the phone needs to be unlocked....
