    Thanks,

Use something to convert them to 8khz mono, and it will upload them.

I think I know what ur problem is. make sure your
phone is plugged in correctly and then click on
"CONNECT TO PHONE." after it has connected
succesfully click on the LOAD RINGTONES button,
then click on ADD. Now you will be able to see the
rest of the file types u can upload to ur phone.

The software says only .midi ringtones, but my phone says I can play .mp3's
    and such.

I have an OEM cable "NKN6559A". I'll try MyJal and report back.

    Thanks,

Your phone includes a micro SD memory card. Use your PC to transfer mp3 and
wav files to the card, then load the card into your phone. Did you not get
a card reader with your phone? I don't think you can use mp3's or wav's as
    ringtones tho.

Yes, I use .mp3 all the time. I use a free program called, Tonethis.
    Tonethis coverts any
sound file into a ring tone and then sends it over your carrier network
    right to your phone.

I have unlimited msgs that I can recieve on my phone so I've been uploading
    tons of ringtones
to my phone. Try it out. It's free. www.tonethis.com

    Re: i580

Thanks to all replied. Nextel is not supported by Tonethis, plus I don't
    have a card reader.

    MyJal seems to work ok.
