I hate the fact that my i58sr display light is on when charging and still
don't understand Motorola's reason for this.

Has anyone found a work around? Any software patch, fix, utility that will
change this? I have to keep it at my bedside and its like a freaking night
    light!

I actually like it, believe it or not, so that when it's dark and
sitting on my desk (I usually leave all the lights in my office off), I
can glance over and check the display.

I have styles set up so that nobody (except for a few important callers)
can get through at night, the rest get logged as a call and sent to
    voicemail.

Styles? Guess I'd better read the book huh?

Guess you're setting up something like ringing styles?

It stays lit so you know it's charging and/or using an alternate source =
    of power.

Main Menu --> Styles (Not under Settings)

It's basically a fast way to create different configuration sets, you
can change many/most of the ergonomics preferences at once.

Next, you can use the datebook, choose "..more.." and pick a style.
