The whole idea behind a screen saver is to prevent "burn in,"
and was created for a CRT, not an LCD.

Unless your phone has a CRT(!), your "screen saver" is doing
nothing more than providing (simple) entertainment.

And, because most modern battery powered devices use more energy operating
than in a steady state, it's using up battery power at a much faster rate
than if you left it alone, or let it blank out.

In case anyone has not been told before, clicking on the link attempts

I'm not sure if this guy is trying to forge my address, but his info
has been turned in to [email protected].

I suggest you do the same.

Not sure if I agree with this one, since the phone is actively checking for
incoming events, doing internal bookkeeping, etc. Granted, if the LCD
screen is a poor design and a power drain there is an issue, but the phone
is not in a true "steady state" even with the screen blanked.

Again, I think this guy is trying to get people to think he's
me... He's taking old posts, of mine, and adding such things
    as virus links.

His info has been turned in to [email protected].

    Sorry if there's any confusion.
