I currently am with Nextel and have an i90c. I also carry a Blackberry
(957) unit. Lately I have been giving more thought about just getting to
one device such as the Nextel Blackberry unit.
My two main concerns are battery life and that frankly my current
Blackberry coverage (I think that its on Cingular's network) is pretty
awesome.
If there are any Nextel Blackberry users out there who would be willing
to share their experiences I would be grateful.
Thanks, Scott

Yeah, I kinda find this strange to. Let me explain. Awhile back I tried
Cingular's phone service (2 weeks) and in my area they were using AT&T.
The phone always showed "extended service" or "roaming" (don't recall)
and the phone service was not great.
This all said, when I first got a Blackberry it was through my cable
provider, RCN. They used Cingular's network. When RCN got out of
providing Blackberry service they referred me to Earthlink. Again, I
could be wrong, but, I thought that they use Cingular's network as well.
Is it possible that Cingular has a separate voice and data network? I
honestly don't know. Then again, I am not 100% certain that I am on
their network. That said, its pretty rare when I have a coverage issue.

Re: Nextel Blackberry
the external antenna on the nextel blackberry is also a whip relative
to other carriers' models.
i was in a nextel store yesterday and one of the employees, who seemed
to have a very solid grasp on their product line, told me that they
are due to have a new blackberry very soon, probably in january of
2004.
supposedly, it WILL have a speakerphone and WILL NOT have an external
antenna.
sitting here waiting patiently.
