i730 data cable -- USB or serial?

I picked up a i730, and now I need to replace all my accessories.
Yippie.

Any advantage of a USB cable over a serial cable, or the other way
around?

Traditionally I've preferred serial, since I can connect to my Palm and
other devices more easily, but the USB cable is cheaper, so I'm debating
giving it a shot.

I use the phone as a modem, and connect using CompanionPro, and I'll
probably upload a wallpaper or three, but not much else.

Go with USB. Serial uses a different kind of transmission medium and is
somewhat slower than USB, especially when you are HotSyncing your Palm
Handheld. It's actually best to sync the i730 with a USB Cable instead.

Go with USB. Serial uses a different kind of transmission medium and is
somewhat slower than USB, especially when you are HotSyncing your Palm
Handheld. It's actually best to sync the i730 with a USB Cable instead.

You *should* I don't see any reason why--but the i730 can double as a
Modem whether Serial or USB.
