What service provider are you on?

The i95cl is strickley a IDEN techonology phone. It will not work with a
GSM service provider. It may be unlocked to work on Boost Mobile, Nextel or
    Southern LINC.

I agree. The i95cl was meant to operate on iDEN and WiDEN Networks, no
more no less. I have an i730 and I know that the i730 is strictly an
iDEN Phone too. Anything Motorola releases as an intended iDEN Phone
will only work on iDEN-based Protocols only.

    Re: i95cl locked?

You have to really judge the phone by its cover to see what protocols
the phone supports. For example, if you look at an i205, you'll see
that because it has iDEN-only controls (Walkie-Talkie Button just to
name a few), you can't mix apples or oranges.

So certain phones will not work with certain networks so in a sense,
apples can't be mixed with oranges in this case.

The apples and oranges reference that you mention......Are you trying to
tell us you are a fruit?

No. I just want to point out that you can't use iDEN Phones for use
with CDMA, or GSM Networks. iDEN Phones will only work with Nextel and
Southern Linc Networks. Can't use iDEN Phones with other carriers.
That is what I mean by "You can't mix apples with oranges."
