    It's a design feature of all series-40 phones. I found my 6100 will
    sometimes take a bit bigger, upto 20k.

    BTW is there any point in having a ringtone bigger than 15k ? After all
    the phone only has 4 voice polyphony, plus it generally rings for no more
    than 30-40secs, before it's answered or diverts to voice-mail.
