Re: Has anyone used a data cable with nokia 3595????????
<If so what type did you use, usb, serial?? > I just bought a usb 3595
cable with driver off eBay. I was told by my provider (Cincinnati Bell
Wireless) I could not use the 3595 to connect to the internet but I am
going to fiddle with it and see what I can accomplish when it arrives in the
mail. What was interesting to me was when I checked out setting up other
phones/laptops/connection cable the instructions say to set up a modem at
19,200 kbs. Hmmm......however, since the Nokia 3595 cable only comes with a
driver I doubt I will be able to accomplish what you want to do. As for
ringtones, I just use http://www.3gupload.com/ and send them to my phone -
you don't "have" to make a contribution unless you want to. DonnaB

Re: Has anyone used a data cable with nokia 3595????????
I have talked to a few people that have the nokia 3595 and they use
the data cable method of editing their rings and address books ect...,
but they are shy when it comes to specifics on how to do itand the
software they use. I guess I will keep on asking questions. Thank You

Re: Has anyone used a data cable with nokia 3595????????
I emailed Nokia about the 3560 (TDMA version of the 3595) and they said that
the phone has no data socket in the software. I dont know if this is true
with the 3595 but I think it is. Thus there are no cables available that
would work with the phone. Unless someone managed to hack the os on the
phone.

<they said that
the phone has no data socket in the software> Like I mentioned earlier I
bought a cable off eBay too (usb) but based on this statement AND the fact
that TS for Cincinnati Bell Wireless (AT&T) told me even if I bought a cable
it still wouldn't work on their data plan....I am not too hopeful - but I
will let you know once I get it. DonnaB

YES the cable works but you still can't connect to the internet. But you
can use it with Oxygen and MobiMB. Make sure you check out the pins and
gently insert the battery to make sure the 4th pin makes contact. DonnaB

Hello, Donna Becker!
Unfortunately you are not able to use any of 3*** models as a modem (exept
symbian OS phones, of course).
