I have a Nokia 3650 and WinXP Pro on my computer. When I run the
3650_ModemSetup.exe to install the Bluetooth modem software, the
Bluetooth option is greyed out and not selectable. I have tried two
different Bluetooth adapters with the latest drivers with the same
results, not being allowed to install the Bluetooth modem option. The
adapter works perfectly otherwise, including with the 3650 PCSuite.
Stranger even, the infrared option in the installer is checked by
default and I have no IR hardware on my computer.

I need to use my 3650 as a fax modem and it is not showing up as an
available modem in my fax software. It appears as a modem in the WinXP
Device Manager, and Bluetooth shows it as connected. I assume I need
to install the 3650_ModemSetup software for it to be recognized by my
    fax software(?).

Any ideas how to get 3650_ModemSetup for Bluetooth to install, or
otherwise get the 3650 Bluetooth modem to show up in my fax software?

    Thanks in advance,
    Cris

Welcome to the BlueTooth setup hell... :-0

I've never run 3650_ModemSetup.exe. I'm using a Belkin bluetooth adapter and
have only installed their drivers (and Nokia PC Suite, but that just makes
use of their drivers) and i have all options available and working (LAN,
Serial Port, DUN (modem&fax), FTP, etc. over BlueTooth). However, my
provider is AT&T and they do not support CSD/HCSD over your GSM phone. That
means, no dial-up modem or fax.

I don't know which bluetooth dongle&drivers you have, but be sure that they
    are all installed correctly.

Thanks Anton, ATT confirmed that sending a fax on a GSM phone is
impossible. Bummer! Back to the land line...

I had an outdated Belkin Adapter that was was pretty fickle and flaky,
just got a new D-Link and it works much better, connects to the 3650
effortlessly. I looked at the newer Belkin, but the D-Link was on
sale. I think the old drivers were just crappy, couldn't use the newer
    drivers with the old adapter.

    Thanks again, Cris
