We're about to go beta/pre-production with our synchronisation service
over GPRS. Using preinstalled phone applications this will allow you to

secure servers. Once there you can edit the info online and restore it
in the case of disaster. We are looking for a willing few to test it for
us. Phone support is as follows with details available here:

Re: GPRS Phone Synchronisation
Now a program that you could run on your PC, and let that run as a server
would be much more advantageous.
Just a simple thought.

Re: GPRS Phone Synchronisation
Yes I would much prefer software on my own web server that I can access both
from my PC and my phone!
Stuff giving out my personal info to someone else!

Are you sure that the T39 is capable of this? As far as I am aware,
it is only able to sync over cable, bluetooth or IR. I would be very
surprised if erricson added the capability to sync over GPRS. Do you
have any links that suggest that this feature exists in the phone,
Cheers,
Dave.

Re: GPRS Phone Synchronisation
Good feedback one and all and thanks to everyone so far for your time
and thoughts.
T39 support is a suspicion at this stage and looking to confirm as part
of this phase. The T39m manual states "Via WAP you can synchronise your
mobile phone calendar or contacts with a claendar or phone book on the
internet. To do this you must have: an internet calendar and phone book
program (www.SimStore.com); a WAP profile."
WAP effectively runs over GRPS. So The manual says YES. If you have a
T39 and would be willing to give it a go we'd be happy to set up an
account for you to give it a run
Thanks all once again
