    When I connect to this using O2 dial-up WAP, it shows everyone as being
    offline, and will not connect using GPRS, what am I doing wrong.

    of course, that is obvious.... thats like saying calls are free if you stay
    within your allocation....

    but regular gprs wap is free, even if you go over your 0.5mb allocation
    wheras o2 mobile web is not.

    Not true - GPRS WAP is charged the same as GPRS MOBILE.

    no it isnt, not if you are on O2 online...

    mobile web comes up as mobile.o2.co.uk or something on your bill, yet gprs
    wap doesnt show up at all and my counter showed i used 15mb last month!!!

    Don't trust the data counter 100%, it also records data used for mms
    messages.

    I'm sure you'll find that o2 charge for GPRS, regardless of the portal you
    use.

    Do you use Agile Messenger? I posted today (
    news:[email protected] ) concerning this and a
    strange quirk concerning ICQ. Have you encountered the same?
