Hi all,
It's that time of the year again. Contract almost finished and time to
choose a new phone. Any ideas when compering 6630 and 6260. Both look good
and specs look great. Wish I could have both in one.....
My present phone is 6600.
Comments?

Hi,
If you like a flip design, don't mind the slower data connection speed and a
non megapixel camera phone. Then go for the 6260.
If not, then go for the 6630. But bear in mind that the video call portion
of the 6630, you'll need a video call stand to do it. I would prefer to
wait something that I can use without getting additonal acccessories in
order to use the video call.
BTW, I'm using a 6260.
Just me 2 cents.
Regards,
Ron

Hi I just got the 6260. Pretty cool in all respects except a few VERY
stupid things, that I dont know if they can be solved or not :
1 - MP3 playback is Mono. That means that the MP3s you encoded on your
Mac/PC sound mushy, it's a complete catastrophy. That point renders the
"MP3" function completely useless (Who wants to reencode one's files
just for the phone, and who wants to listen to mono mp3?)
2 - The camera. The max resolution (640*480 can only be attained if you
have the phone in browse mode. That means that the sybject can only be
in the axis of the phone if you hold the phone "table like". As if you
were looking at your desk. Great huh?
3 - Bluetooth : havn't tried that yet but I presume there's something
stupid here too. Imagine you receive a phone call. You flip the phone
open to see who's calling (no external screen like on Samsungs or
motorolas) and decide to take the call. You transfer the call to your
bluetooth earpiece, but you cant close the phone. Else the communication
gets shut. I dont know if flipping the phone into browse mode does that
too, havnt checked yet but it's worth concidering.
Best regards;

I honestly wouldn't change if I had 6600. I kind of fail to see what you
would gain. 6630 has EDGE internet; if that was available where I lived then
I would consider that one. If not, then I'd stick with 6600 until there's
really some new (network/data) technology.
BTW, I just got 6260, previously owned 3650, but only changed because I lost
my old phone. Otherwise I would have stuck with 3650.
Cheers,
Chanchao
