Hi, i'm in taiwan right now but will go back to canada soon. 2650 is one of the new flip/shell design phones that nokia rarely makes and i like it a lot. my question is, what bands do i need to operate properly in north america? and in europe too if anyone knows. thank you all.

900/1800 will not operate at all in North America, you will need at the
very least a tri-band phone with 1900 MHz which will work in most major
cities and along major roads, but GSM850 is also coming into use so a quad
band phone is ideal, although I'm not sure if Nokia produce one as yet.
My 6310i worked fine for me in most of California last September, although
it did drop out along parts of Hwy.1 around Big Sur, but not a lot works
there anyway..!

6680 due out next couple of weeks - alleged to be the first Nokia quad
band, and with Symbian O/S as well. But of course it remains to be seen!

900/1800 will be fine in Europe, but both Fido and Rogers use 1900MHz in
Canada. You'll want one of Nokia's tri-bands.
