What is the object model of the Symbian phone?

I would like to display in big bold characters across my screen when my phone is in SILENT mode, OUTDOOR mode or MEETING mode. How can I do it? Shouldn't be too far from Hello World right? Can I assume someone is already rushing to post that few lines needed to do this here?
