I bought connecting cable from the internet for 12,5 euro. I downloaded
driver from Nokia site (first it did not work because of pop up blocker),
then I connected the phone and installed PC suite. There was no connection!!!
After starting up the laptop again it really started working; he saw the
phone and other USB devices, which were installed. I thought that I could
load all addresses from Outlook. I could, but names and familynames (van de
etc)were mixed up. Als after changing this via the laptop, it remained the
same, so I had to change on the phone. I am with tiscali and tiscali now has
a service that you can login locally all over the world. I am not yet
connected to this service and did not yet try it.Hopefully I get this
service after the weekend.
regards

connecting Nokia 6230 with USB cable to notebook
Check, whether you are using the right cable. Nokia 6230 works only with
original Nokia DKU-2 cable. As per hardware symptomes, it seems, that you
have ordered thirdparty ProLific cables, based on PL-2303 chipset. PL-2303
chipsets are incompatible with Nokia 6230.
The best choice for Nokia 6230 connection to notebook is original Nokia
DKU-2 plus Oxygen Phone Manager II ( http://www.opm-2.com/ ).
You can download the lates Oxygen Phone Manager II trial here:

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum
