    Hello!

I have 6310i Nokia and just got bluetooth adapter (MSI's). Drivers work
ok and nokai and my pc see each other with no problems. When I start PC
Suite and try to connect to nokia from Connection Manager, the link
breaks. (On nokia it writes: Disconnected!)

    What's going on?

    thnx

Check your firmware (type *#0000#) if it is not at least v 5.50 you
won't be able to use your Nokia 6310i with PC Suit.

The problem isn't pc-suite, it's the firmware on the nokia phone. There
are also bluetooth security issues with firmware below version 5.6, see:

    http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...b69acaec40742c

If the phone is out of warranty nokia won't do the firmware upgrade for
free. In the UK it is the responsability of the vendor to fix any
problems that were inherent to a product at the time of sale for up to
six years from date of purchase, check your local consumer laws.

I understood that it isn't pc-suite's problem, but hoped that there is
some other program that I can use... Oh, well, I found some company here
that will probably upgrade the firmware, but it'll probably cost a fine
    sum

thnx very much for help, I started thinking I'm doing something wrong...

Shop around, use the service centre locater on the nokia website, it
should be possible to get the upgrade for less than £10 (around 14EUR /
    20USD).

    6310i and PCSuite problem

Other alternative solution is Oxygen Phone Manager II (
http://www.opm-2.com/ ), but our program also requires firmware 5.50 or
higher. You need special profile, designed for external phone management
program ( it has 'Nokia PC Suite' sign in its name). This profile provides
bluetooth virtual serial port for client applications (i.e., phone
management programs ) on your PC and enables to establish outgoing
    PC-to-phone bluetooth connection.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum
    http://www.opm-2.com/forum/
