I have a Nokia 1100 which came w/ a few pictures (b&w) OTA.
I can email text w/no problems.
I would like to send pictures (b&w) OTA generated from my pc
via email to the Nokia.
I have tried emailing a test pic from my pc with no success.
I have checked the format against the Nokia specs and the hex strings are
good.
Is it possible to do this? I'm assuming it has to be an attachment - file.ota ?
Special encoding? my email uses standard base 64 encoding.
Does the subject & body have to contain anything?
Is it possible to do this on other Nokia models? If so, how?
Thanks

Re: Picture Messages
The 1100 does picture messaging so why not try downloading the Nokia PC
Suite off the Nokia site. Should simplify the process without being involved
with coding formats.

Re: Picture Messages
1.) I want to be able to transmit dynamically generated jpegs(converted to
OTA) in an automated session. It doesn't appear that this pc suite does
this.
2.) I'm using linux, so nokia's sw won't work anyway.
I can do the conversion ok. I'm just wondering if there's a way to get it
to my phone via email - without connecting a cable or bluetooth.

Re: Picture Messages
Seen a few web sites that offer free text messages to mobiles. Some might
offer attachments too
