I've successfully configured my 6680 to download mail from my Google
account (gmail). I can send and receive w/o any problems. However, I
have 275 e-mail messages and they clog up my phone. I can delete them
from the phone one by one, but I wonder if there is a faster, more
efficient way. As far as I can tell, the Nokia PC Suite does not even
see those mails.
Thanks

OK, thanks, this works, but the headers are still in the phone. Can I
get rid of them?

It should remove them.
Do what I said above then do Options -> disconnect --> and you should see
them disappearing quickly before your mailbox closes.
