PC Suite 4.81 and 6210

G'day All,

I know it's old ...... it's time to upgrade but to do that I need to get
various info off the OLD (very) 6210.

I'm using PC Suite 4.81 and all the bits and pieces such as WAP Manager, PC
Composer, PC Graphics work and connect to the phone. The problem is that
Phonebook, Messages, Profiles and Setting which come under Nokia Phone
Editor 4.5 do not show a connection to the phone, and hence no info - a
phone in the bottom left corner with a red cross through it is all that
shows.

Nokia Phone Editor 4.5 is obviously part of PC Suite 4.81.

Please help, I think the 6210 has seen it's days - but i want the 300
numbers and SMS out of it to print up before I upgrade ;-)

You don't say how you're trying to connect, DLR3 or IrDA.
If you're trying to use an FBUS cable it won't work with PC Suite but
you could try Gammu which is GPL. (ggogle for it).

Hello!

Oxygen Phone Manager II ( http://www.opm-2.com/opm2/ ) and Oxygen Express
( http://www.oxygen-express.com/ ) can do the job. Both programs support old
phones such as Nokia 6210 as well, as the new ones such as Nokia 6230i or
Nokia 8800. Both programs can backup your Phonebook, Messages, Profiles and
Settings, so you could transfer them to newer phone in the same program.

If you wish to print your contacts or SMS messages, you can export them to
RTF, CSV or XLS format using our software and print the file as commong
Microsoft Office Document. You can find free trial versions for the both
products on their official websites.
