Help - Backup Restore to New (Replacement) Phone using PC Suite 6.6.18 Content Copier

Hi - Couple of days ago I backed all up my Nokia 6610 phone data using
PC Suite 6.6.18, thru Content Copier using Option "Backup Phone to PC".

Subsequently my Nokia 6610 was stolen and I was able to buy a 6610i
(this has camera) as replacement only.

I need to urgently restore my prior backed-up messages and contacts to
the new phone 6610i. But PC Suite does not permit the backup to restore
to the new phone, since it recognizes the new phone to be another
model.

Can somebody kindly help me with this situation ? Can the "nfb" files
be decoded in any way ?

If I arrange for another 6610 (similar to my stolen phone) will PC
Suite allow the restore to happen. I was wondering if PC Suite records
IMEI number or any other parameter inside the backup "nfb" files.

Hello just backed up my 6680 replaced after 1 wk,i made back up files on pc
suite, but when i came to get back on to new 4n it would not recognise it,
as the option was 6680.2 the option s on the pc suite was back up pc to
phone ..................and in the box underneath backup to new phone which
i did and data is now back on new 4n hope it helps
