Anybody know how to get at the underside of the keypad under the
screen on a 6260?
The OK (left middle) button on mine has stopped working after the
thing got wet...

Go to the Nokia 6260, then I believe you start with Step 20 (after first
turning it off and removing the battery).
It's quite simple to pry off the keypad. I did it using a very small
screwdriver and prying up a bit on the upper left then the upper right
and back again extending the screwdriver farther under the keypad until
it popped out.
I was attempting to fix the on-off switch, but found a broken plastic
piece that sits on top of the switch (below the button) and had to send
it to Hong Kong Nokia for repair -- NokiaUSA doesn't want to admit this
phone exists because they don't sell it. And NokiaHKG would not send a
part. NokiaGB said they don't service for anyone outside of GB.
NokiaFinland is in Finish! Perhaps you can write to their home office?
If you find someone who has parts, please let me know!
So don't know what you can do to free up the keyboard, other than
removing the pad and cleaning and soaking it -- but guess first best to
see if it is the key itself or below the key. It's quite easy to remove
the few screws under the keypad and pry apart the cover, but there you
get into the intricacies. Perhaps you will be lucky and find a shop in
your area who knows Nokia and can help.
